ABOUT GEORGIA CHAPTER 29

The I.H.C. Club of GA was chartered on March 4, 2000. This is a nonprofit club with by-laws, and nine member board of directors. At this time, we have four membership meetings a year at a designated show.

We are affiliated with the National I.H. Collectors Club, which has state chapters all across the country. This is the organization that each year hosts the Red Power Round-Up, one of the nation's top antique tractor events.

The purpose of the club is to promote the preservation of historic tractors and equipment, particularly, that made by the International Harvester Co. But, you don't have to own IH products to join. We welcome owners of any brand of equipment, or· none, as long as you -share a love for old iron.

And, since IH also made trucks, industrial equipment and other items useful for around the home and farm, this club will be for people who own or have interest in everything from IH _ Scouts to IH cream separators and refrigerators. The involvement of each member's entire family is one of our main goals. We want all of our events to be fun and memorable.

As a club member, you will receive a quarterly newsletter with information on what is happening in the club as well as events around the GA area. Also, you will receive the National Newsletter, "Harvester Highlights," with information on other State Chapters and events across the country.

Collectors Club

International Harvester Collectors is an association of members with interests in IH products and history. It covers tractors, engines, trucks, equipment, toys, literature and memorabilia.

The stated purpose is: To establish the Club logo as an identity to which IH collectors can relate; To promote IH collecting, restoration and show displays, through communication among members; To help preserve, research and complete the history of the IH company; To aid shows that feature IH by establishing a file of member's show pieces; To hold an annual convention (Red Power RoundUp) in conjunction with an IH feature at a different host show each year, and an annual winter convention.

We were organized in July of 1990. We are a non-profit association with by-laws, a board of nine directors, and officers. Board members are elected annually at the Red Power Round-Up. We have members from 49 states and several other countries. There are several state and local chapters, with new ones being added regularly. Club members receive a quarterly newsletter, "Harvester Highlights," which provides information on club business, committee reports, show listings, chapter news and features, and includes a free 30 word ad
